'The Phoenix Lights UFO Incident' refers to a series of events that occurred on the evening and night of March 13^th, 1997. In reality it was two separate events, hours apart. One remains unexplained. The other does not. Conflating them has been the official story’s most useful trick for nearly three decades.

In July 1976, as Viking 1 orbited Mars searching for a safe landing site for its twin lander, the spacecraft’s camera captured a two-kilometer-long mesa in the Cydonia region that looked uncannily like a human face staring upward. NASA’s own press release described it as a “huge rock formation in the center which resembles a human head.” The agency’s chief scientist, Gerald Soffen, quickly dismissed it as a “trick of light and shadow.” The image, Viking frame 035A72, was released with that framing. A second frame, 070A13, taken 35 orbits later under different lighting, showed the same feature still looking facial.

The 1947 Roswell UFO Incident

The Roswell UFO crash of 1947 remains the most iconic and hotly debated event in the history of unidentified flying objects (also currently known as, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP)) in the United States. What began as a routine ranch discovery escalated into a military press release announcing the capture of a “flying disc,” only to be walked back within hours as a mere weather balloon. Decades of witness testimony, declassified documents, and official Air Force denials/investigations have layered complexity onto the story without fully resolving it.

The 1976 Tehran Iran UFO Incident

In the early morning hours of September 19, 1976, over the skies of Tehran, Iran, something extraordinary occurred—something that military pilots, radar operators, and high-level U.S. intelligence officials could not explain. Multiple civilians in the Shemiran area phoned Mehrabad Airport reporting a brilliant object hovering and moving in ways no conventional aircraft could. It changed colors — blue, green, red, orange — and was brighter than any star. One witness compared it to the sun. The 1952 Washington DC UFO Flap

What follows is a news magazine article from 1952 by LIFE Magazine with commentary inserted by NICAP. It is a re-printing of sorts and an assessment by NICAP of the article. It is re-posted it here for additional commentary and historical preservation.

1952 was the year of the Washington D. C. UFO flap, which caused quite a stir in our capitol. More than likely, the UFO flap that was occurring all over the U. S. spurred LIFE Magazine to investigate and write about the UFO situation as it was occurring. 1952 was a big year for UFOs.

Astronaut Gordon Cooper’s film crew captured the landing of a UFO at Edwards Air Force Base on May 3, 1957

The incident at Edwards Air Force Base is one of the most important unidentified flying object cases in modern UFO history. Astronaut Gordon Cooper is the sole source for this case and related his eyewitness information in this and subsequent interviews. The incident was reported May 3, 1957 by Cooper himself according to his testimony.

April 24th 1964 Socorro, NM UFO Landing

One of the most intriguing cases of a UFO sighting with physical trace evidence is that of the 1964 landing of an egg-shaped craft witnessed by policeman Lonnie Zamora.

The Zamora incident began at 5:45 P.M. on April 24, 1964, in Socorro, New Mexico. Thirty-one year old policeman Lonnie Zamora was on patrol when he was passed by a car which was obviously speeding. Zamora took off in chase of the vehicle, but suddenly heard a loud roar in the distance, accompanied by a bluish, orange flame rising into the air.

The Avrocar Project

I hesitate to even write this article because writing it gives yet one more bit of attention to an unworthy subject that remains stuck to the UFO topic like dog poo you can’t scrap off your shoe. However, it must be written about to clear the air about what this project really was and as to why this project may have been created in the first place. Why do we keep seeing this 'saucer-shaped' craft that the United States Air Force was working on in conjunction with Avro Canada Corporation in the 1950s in nearly every UFO documentary film ever created? What relevance does it really have to the UFO phenomenon (if any)? Why are we always left with the impression that it was a viable explanation for some UFO sightings?

This is the complete report on the UFO sighting by the Japanese crew of a jumbo freighter aircraft in November, 1986. This sighting gained international attention when the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced that it was going to officially investigate this sighting because the Air Route Traffic Control Center in Anchorage, Alaska, had reported that the UFO had been detected on radar. More recently (May, 2001) this sighting case has become prominent once again as a result of the CSETI Disclosure Project (see http://cseti.org ). One of the government witnesses presented by CSETI is John Callahan, former Division Manager for Accidents, Evaluations and Investigations in the Washington, D.C. headquarters of the FAA, has cited this case as evidence that UFOs are real.

Human History?

If you have ever turned on your TV, you know about the Ancient Astronaut Theory. Practically everyone on the planet has seen at least one episode of Ancient Aliens on the History Channel. The theory can be summed up this way; The ancient astronaut theory, also known as ancient aliens theory, proposes that extraterrestrial beings visited Earth in prehistoric and ancient times, influencing human culture, technology, and religion. Proponents argue that many ancient myths, deities, and unexplained artifacts or structures — such as the Egyptian pyramids, Nazca lines, or Sumerian texts — are evidence of advanced alien intervention rather than accomplished by human ingenuity alone.

Can Ultra-Advanced ET Craft Crash?

Could ET craft, that are possibly thousands of years more advanced, crash? A better question might be, “Would Murphy’s law or principle (an adage or epigram that is typically stated as: ‘Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.’) be a true axiom”? If it weren’t so blatantly apparent to engineers and experimentalists that things do go wrong or break practically all of the time, I doubt that the “Murphy’s Law” adage would actually exist. One cannot deny that no matter how hard the engineers try to prevent it, things still break, and still go wrong.

Moon Anomalies?

What is the evidence associated with NASA’s moon photographs and imagery that lead us to think there is a link to UFO’s and the ET Hypothesis? Or is there any such evidence that does link the moon to the ET Hypothesis? Well, that would depend on who you ask. NASA’s stance is summed up on Wikimili.com under the heading “The Extraterrestrial Hypothesis”. They state that “NASA frequently fields questions in regard to the ETH and UFOs. As of 2006, its official standpoint was that the ETH has a lack of empirical evidence.” and that “Despite public interest, NASA considers the study of the ETH to be irrelevant to its work because of the number of false leads that a study would provide, and the limited amount of usable scientific data that it would yield.”

Astronauts & UFOS?

Have you ever wondered if the astronauts came into contact with UFOs? The undeniable truth is, yes. There are many documented incidents of astronauts encountering the unexplainable, even in NASA’s own records and there are many NASA documented radio transmissions that reveal many astronaut and UFO encounters. Also, there is quite a large amount of photographic and video evidence of anomalous objects spotted in space during NASA missions. This is captured by astute observers and researchers that record NASA live missions, and also research older evidence in NASA recordings by astronauts themselves, and researchers that delve into NASA’s archives of mission photo imagery.

What evidence is there for the ET Hypothesis?

Debunkers of this subject would have you believe that there does not exist any evidence at all for the ET Hypothesis but, in fact, this simply is not true. There are a multitude of UFO cases that have left unexplainable physical traces. There are an enormous amount of eye witness cases involving people of unimpeachable character, including high ranking military, police, civilian and military pilots, and people in high ranking civilian positions of authority as well. Not to mention the large amount of abnormal and anomalous data that keeps showing up in NASA media (video, pictures, data, and other sources).

The Majestic 12

Does this organization actually exist? Debunkers say no, some UFO researchers say yes. Very little information has ever been discovered about the elusive “Majestic 12”. Some few documents of debatable origin have surfaced. The rest pieces and try to put them together in some logical way that makes sense. This super secret organization resides among myths, legends, and folklore for the debunkers, but for some serious UFO researchers, it does actually exist and the organization is still suppressing and controlling UFO information even today. It is believed that the Majestic Twelve (MJ-12) organization was created by President Harry S. Truman right after the Roswell UFO Incident to manage and deal with the “UFO/Alien presence problem”. Also, the Majestic Twelve organization was created along with the NSA, CIA, & FBI, but was kept hidden from the public as well as the NSA.

Little Green Men?

If you’ve never heard of “The Roswell Incident”, then you must be living under a rock. It is the most publicized UFO related incident in history (so far…) You can ask nearly anyone what happened at Roswell, NM and you will most likely get, “UFO Crash”, or similar as your answer. Nearly everyone has heard of the UFO Crash at Roswell. Between the 3rd and the 5th of July 1947 (the exact date of the crash is still debated) was the approximate date that something crashed on the Foster Ranch. It was without a doubt a flying object, and without a doubt an unidentified object as well, making it an unidentified flying object or UFO, although, at that time in history, the term they used was “flying saucer”. The army Air Corps (Roswell Army Air Field – RAAF) admitted as much in a news release via the Roswell Daily Record on the 8th of July 1947.
